We understand that making a Will isn’t something you are necessarily looking forward to doing. It may be, for whatever reason, you are in a situation where making a will has become a necessity or even urgent and your situation may be complicated. We appreciate and recognise that each client will have different needs and circumstances and will work hard to meet and accommodate them.
Wills can be implemented and drafted for a number of different reasons, whether young parents, first homeowners or looking to protect your estate against any potential future disputes against your wishes.
We aim to build and maintain genuine relationships with clients and be professional and approachable. We are cost effective and offer flexible appointments in the office, at your home, on the telephone or with online video conferencing.
Our senior wills specialist is a solicitor who has over 25 years’ experience drafting wills and administering estates following the terms of wills. That combination of experience means that a wary eye is kept on what may be issues in the future so that they are dealt with today in the preparation of your will.
We are happy to either meet you to discuss your requirements or receive from you the completed factfind, prepare a draft will for you, and send it with an explanatory letter to you for approval and either meet with you to sign the will or send it to you at home for signature. We will store the will for you free of charge unless you want to store it elsewhere. Changes can be made at any point before you sign, but complex changes may delay the will being ready for you to sign.
Our charges for wills range from £200 including vat for a straightforward single will to £550 including vat for a more complicated single will, and from £350 including vat for two straightforward wills for a couple to £650 including vat for more complicated wills for a couple. Factors which might lead to the higher charge band include more complicated wills involving trusts, additional advice about related matters such as property ownership, excluding potential beneficiaries, multiple changes to your instructions, urgent instructions and home visits.
We would expect to be able to draft your will within 5 working days of receipt of full instructions from you.
